Stronglass

WEEK THREE
Hello!! How are you my readers??

Yesterday, we had Enlgish lesson. In this lessons Spanish students share with some Erasmus students. It is good for all of us, because we have to speak necessarily English if we want speak with Erasmus students. Sometimes, they listen to some Gari’s explanation in Spanish and they can practise their ears listening Spanish, ha ha ha.

Well, at the begining of the class we corrected the homework, that the teacher dictated last week. Then we had some exercises and read a text above iron and steel. After that we listened to a comic, where a man explained a new material, the glass-reinforced plastic. This product is called Stronglass, because one of its properties is the toughness. Glass alone is brittle, but if we add resin, this kind of glass when it’s hut cracks aren’t formed.

Nowadays, with all the technology that we have, we can obtain materials with their properties are improved, and we can used this materials in some enviroments that we have never imagined.

Well, this all for today, another day... more, ha ha.

Harry Potter's invisible coat

WEEK THREE
Hello!!!! Are you fine??
Last Tuesday, I had English practice, Ana explain us that we have to do an oral presentation for this term. It is a group work, and we have to explain some job that we can do with our degree.

My partner and me, were speaking, and we think that the textile sector is interesting. She was explained me that japanese scientifics are making the “Harry Potter’s invisible coat”. It consists in a shirt with microcameras and miniscreens in its fabric. The microcameras record the scenery that the person who wears this shirt has behind, for example. And the miniscreens that the shirt has in front of it, show this scenery. Supposedly, people can not see the torso of this person who wears the “Harry Potter’s invisible coat”.

The first part of the class we were working in a several exercises above the relative clauses. Then, in Laboratory Practice, we listened two records. The first spoke above a firm, and it history. In the second record we listened two presentations.

Speaking above presentations... Before we finished the class, we saw the same video that last day. Where a man made two oral presentations. On one hand, he made a wrong presentation, and on the other hand was right.

Definig - Non definig

WEEK TWO
Hi!! How are you bloggers??

Well, last Wednesday we had theory lesson with Gari, and we were reviewed the relative clauses definig and non – defining.

We learnt some new vocabulary above the materials and their properties. For example, I learnt the mean of Brass, and which is its components, copper and zinc. Moreover, we did a listening task where we had to comlete a table with the information that a women gave us.

This information consisted in: the name of the metal, their properties and the uses. One of this metal was aluminium, its properties are that it is light, strong and resistant-corrosion. We can see this metal in some enviroments, in the kitchen like a aluminium foil for wrapping the food, for example sandwiches. Or some pans are made by this metals, or pots. Well, in aircrafts it is posible seen this metals. I’m sure that, in the car industry it is used, or in another enviroments.

Well, next day I hope I can explain you more things above metals or another materials.

See you soon!

My Oral Presentation

WEEK TWO

Industrial Engineering

WEEK TWO
Hi, readers!!!!
Are you ok??

Today, we had Class practice and Lab Practice.
At the beginning of the Class practice, some pupils have made an oral presentation. Each of these pupils have explained what they are studying, and in which kind of jobs they will be able to work when they will finish. I did my homework like some students and I have had to do my oral presentation. I was feel nervous, because in class there are lot of people and I'm shy. I think it is difficult speak in public, but it is more difficult speak in another language.

Well, I'm studying Industrial Design Engineering and I have explained to my partners what a Industrial Designer, how we have to work and in which kind of jobs we can work.
For example we can work like a Fashion Designer, Graphic Designer, Industrial Engineer, between other.
I hang on my oral presentation here, if someone is interesting on this degree, can look the presentation. There are some information.
After the oral presentations; Ana, our teacher, has explained us the relative clauses. She has said to us that next day we will have to do some exercises of defining or not-defining clauses. For me grammar isn't difficult, I prefer it than speak in public, ha ha ha.

When we have finished the Class practice, we have had Lab practice in which we have watched a video. The same we saw last Tuesday. We have had to do an exercise. Some students hadn't got the practice and they have had to sit with the students that they had it. Two girls have sit with me, and we have made the exercise together.
Finally, we have seen another video about "How to make a good oral presentation".
Well, that all for today.

Australia Vs. Lithuania

WEEK ONE

Hi!!!!! How are you my Bloggers?

Yesterday morning I had English lesson, and my teacher Gari wanted to we met the Erasmus pupils. We went to another class where Erasmus pupils were. The Spanish teacher gave us a paper with a name and we had to search who was the pupil with this name. I had the name Egle.

Egle is a girl. I asked her where she was from. I understand that she was from Australia. But when I said to my classmate this, they didn’t believe it because Australia is so far. I think she is Australian because her English is very good. But maybe she said to me that she was from Lithuania. I think so, because the girls that they were sit with her were Lithuanian girls. Ums, I don’t know. I’m confused now, ha ha ha. I have to ask her again where is she from.

Well, she is very nice. We talked about music, films and another kind of things.

Gari and the Spanish teacher, said to us that we will meet sometimes, in class timetable. I think that is a good idea, because I will be able to practise my English and the Erasmus students their Spanish.
Then, after an hour, approximately, we came back class ad we had theory lesson. We learnt new vocabulary about materials and thier characteristics. Moreover, we learnt about phonetic, since in English I it isn’t teach more phonetic. I think that it is interesting because my pronunciation it isn’t very good ha ha. I will practise more this.

And this is all today. Next day, I will talk you more about my English lessons.

See you soon!

Welcome to my blog!

WEEK ONE
Hello! How are you?
Yesterday, in practice class, Ana said to us we would have to do a blog. We would have to write about that we did in English lessons.
Well, yesterday Ana explained us what we would do in practice lessons, practice class and laboratory lessons.
In practice class, Ana said to us that we would have to do a oral presentation to explain to our classmate what kind of thing we study in our own degrees and what kind of jobs we will have.
For this reason in laboratory class we watched a video.
In it we could see the typical mistakes that the people do in a oral presentation.
The most important are, to be very nervous, and not prepare the presentation.
Well, I hope my future oral presentation won’t be a disaster, ha ha.
See you soon!
